RALLY DOCS

The economics,
in full.

Everything about how Rally’s launch distributes tokens, where the SOL goes, and why the design is fairer than a first-come launch. The rules below are the ones the program and backend actually run.

01

Overview

Rally is a Solana launchpad for one coordinated token launch. Instead of a race where the fastest wallet wins, everyone contributes SOL during a presale window. When it closes, related wallets are grouped, allocations are calculated with a square-root curve, and all retained SOL goes into permanently locked liquidity.

02

The problem with launches

On most launchpads a token goes live on a bonding curve and the price rises with every buy. That makes the first seconds decisive:

  • Bots and snipers buy in the first block, before a person can click, then sell into everyone who follows.
  • Money buys proportionally more. A wallet with 100× the SOL gets 100× the tokens, often at a better price because it moved first.
  • Insiders can pre-buy supply through fresh wallets that look like independent buyers.
  • Liquidity can leave. Where liquidity isn’t locked, a creator can withdraw it.

The result is usually a concentrated holder list and an early dump. Rally is built to remove the race entirely.

03

Token supply

The supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 tokens with six decimals. Mint and freeze authorities must be revoked before the launch executes, so nobody can create more tokens or freeze yours.

Social rewards20,000,0002%Contributors whose posts drove engagement
Liquidity400,000,000+40% minimumPermanently locked trading pool
Team / Rally00%Nothing. There is no team allocation.

Any presale or social tokens that aren’t allocated are added to locked liquidity, so the liquidity share only ever grows.

New to this? Explain it simply

Imagine a pizza cut into a billion slices, and nobody can ever bake more. Just over half go to people who join the presale. Most of the rest sits in the shop’s till so anyone can buy and sell slices later, and that till is welded shut. The Rally team takes zero slices.

04

Contributing

Minimum per entity0.5 SOL
Maximum retained per entity25 SOL (excess refunded)
Launch cap500 SOL retained in total
Minimum raise200 eligible SOL, or the launch cancels and refunds
Presale token cap10M tokens per entity

When you contribute doesn’t matter. Allocations are calculated only after the window closes. If more than 500 SOL is raised, every eligible contribution is scaled down by the same proportion and the excess is refunded, rather than cutting off whoever arrived last. There is no gas war and no reason to rush.

05

Square-root allocation

Each entity’s weight is the square root of its retained contribution. Presale tokens are split in proportion to those weights.

weight = √(entity SOL)
tokens = 580M × weight ÷ Σ weights

Putting in 4× the SOL gets 2× the tokens, and 25× the SOL gets 5×. Larger contributors still receive more, but smaller contributors get more tokens per SOL. That spreads the supply across many more holders than a linear split would.

No entity can receive more than 10M presale tokens (1% of supply). Entities above the cap are fixed at 10M and the rest is redistributed by weight, repeating until nobody exceeds it. If every entity is capped, the leftover goes to locked liquidity.

Inside an entity with several wallets, tokens and accepted SOL are split between wallets in proportion to what each contributed.

your SOL →tokens you get per SOL
Linear split2.89Mtokens per SOL · 0.25% of the presale
Rally (square root)4.09Mtokens per SOL · 0.35% of the presale

Illustration: you plus 200 others who each put in 1 SOL, before the 10M-token cap. On a linear split every SOL is worth the same. With Rally, small contributions earn more per SOL and big ones earn less, which spreads the supply across more people.

New to this? Explain it simply

Instead of “put in 10× more, get 10× more”, Rally uses square roots: put in 4× more and you get 2× more. You still get more for putting in more, but a big wallet can’t crowd out everyone else.

06

Worked example

Three entities contribute 30 SOL between them. Here is how their share of the presale compares under a linear split and under Rally’s square-root split (before the 10M cap):

EntitySOLLinear share√ weightRally share
Whale2583.3%562.5%
Regular413.3%225.0%
Small13.3%112.5%

The 1 SOL contributor gets 5× more tokens per SOL than the 25 SOL contributor. The whale still holds the largest single position, just not an overwhelming one. Use the allocation explorer to try your own numbers.

07

Entities and appeals

Square-root weighting only works if one person can’t pose as many. After contributions close, Rally groups wallets that belong together into entities, using onchain evidence such as shared funding sources combined with matching timing, amounts or counterparties. Funding from an exchange alone is not treated as a link, and wallet age alone is not proof.

  1. Rally publishes the proposed groups, the evidence and the methodology.
  2. Anyone has at least 24 hours to appeal. An accepted correction restarts the window.
  3. The final grouping is committed onchain as a Merkle root and can’t be changed afterwards.
  4. The program checks every claim against that root.

Limits apply to the whole entity: the 0.5 SOL minimum, the 25 SOL ceiling, the 10M token cap and the vesting tier. Splitting across linked wallets doesn’t get around them. Read the clustering methodology.

New to this? Explain it simply

If one person uses five wallets to look like five people, Rally groups those wallets back into one. The grouping is posted publicly, and if Rally gets it wrong you can appeal before anything is final.

08

Identity checks

The Rally monster inspects the knight cat's ID with a magnifying glass

Checks scale with the size of the position:

  • Under 5 SOL per entity: wallet heuristics only. No sign-up needed.
  • 5 SOL or more: a connected X account at least 90 days old with at least 10 original posts.

If a required check isn’t met, the contribution is refunded in full. It is never approved by default.

09

Unlocks

Small positions unlock immediately. Larger ones unlock partly at launch, with the rest released continuously over 48 hours, so the biggest holders can’t all sell into the first minutes of trading.

Entity presale allocationAt launchOver 48 hours
Up to 1M tokens100%—
Over 1M to 5M50%50%, linear
Over 5M to 10M25%75%, linear

The tier is based on the whole entity, so spreading tokens across wallets doesn’t lower it.

New to this? Explain it simply

If you get a big pile of tokens, you can’t sell it all the second trading opens. It trickles out over two days, so the first hour isn’t a stampede for the exit.

10

Social rewards

2% of supply (20M tokens) rewards contributors who help spread the word. During the contribution window, register a post with your eligibility code and an image or clip.

  • At least 0.5 accepted SOL per entity, and one qualifying post per X account.
  • Score = views + likes + replies + reposts + quotes, read through your own X authorization and snapshotted before the grouping is published.
  • Scores are square-root weighted too, so one viral account can’t take the whole pool.
  • At most 1M bonus tokens per entity. Follower count doesn’t count.
  • Unclaimed bonus tokens go to locked liquidity.
11

Liquidity

Every retained SOL goes into the trading pool, together with at least 400M tokens and Rally’s naming bid. Nothing is skimmed for the team. Rally pays launch execution costs separately.

  • The pool is created, funded and configured in one atomic transaction. If any step fails, all of it rolls back.
  • Liquidity is permanently locked, with no vesting, unlock or recycling. The lock carries into Meteora’s migrated pool.
  • Nobody, including Rally, can withdraw it.
New to this? Explain it simply

Liquidity is the money that lets people trade. Every SOL from the presale goes in, and it’s locked forever, so nobody (including Rally) can pull it out and leave holders stranded.

12

Naming and launch timing

Rally names the token. Its name, ticker and image are saved when the launch is created and shown on the launch page from the moment the presale opens, so you know exactly what you’re backing. The metadata id is content-addressed, so anyone can check that the launched token matches.

The launch contract includes a naming bid. Rally’s backend approves only Rally’s own bid, for exactly the details shown, and that bid (from 0.1 SOL) goes into liquidity. If Rally doesn’t place it by one hour after the presale closes, the launch cancels and everyone is refunded.

Once allocations are final, Rally has 4 hours to schedule the launch for 4–24 hours later. If it misses that window, anyone can cancel the launch and every contributor is refunded. The presale close date is fixed at creation and can’t be moved.

New to this? Explain it simply

Rally picks the token’s name and ticker before you join, and shows it on the launch page. The launch checks that the token that goes live is exactly that one.

13

Trading fees

The Rally monster tosses a coin into a little felt campfire

Trading carries a 1.25% total fee. After Meteora’s protocol share:

  • Token fees are burned, 100%, so supply shrinks as the token trades.
  • SOL fees go to Rally’s treasury, which funds operating the platform.
New to this? Explain it simply

Each trade pays a small 1.25% fee. The token part of the fee is destroyed, which slowly shrinks the supply. The SOL part pays for running Rally.

14

Refunds and cancellation

The Rally monster hands a coin back to the puppy

You get SOL back automatically when:

  • Your entity’s total is under 0.5 SOL (full refund).
  • Your entity put in more than 25 SOL (the excess).
  • The launch raises more than 500 SOL (the proportional excess, including rounding).
  • A required identity check isn’t met (full refund).
  • Less than 200 eligible SOL is raised, the naming bid is missed, or the launch isn’t scheduled in time. In these cases the whole launch cancels and everyone gets a full refund.

Refunds go back to the wallets that contributed, through a replay-protected onchain instruction. The worker processes them automatically, and you can also claim a settled refund yourself.

Why this is fairer

Speed stops mattering. Without a first block to win, sniping bots have nothing to exploit, and someone checking their phone an hour late gets the same deal.

Many holders, not a few. The square-root curve and the 10M cap move tokens from the largest wallets to the long tail. A wide base of holders tends to make a healthier market than a few whales.

No hidden insiders. There is no team allocation, grouping is public and appealable, and the liquidity can’t be pulled.

A softer open. Staggered unlocks for large positions and permanent liquidity make the first hours less of a cliff.

16

What is enforced where

Rally is honest about which rules the Solana program enforces and which rely on Rally’s backend.

Enforced onchain by the programAttested by Rally’s backend
Entity membership against the published root · actual contribution amounts · allocation caps · unlock schedule · refund destinations · single launch · permanent liquidity lock · revoked authoritiesWallet grouping · X identity checks · social engagement metrics · token metadata matching what the site shows

The program can’t see X or confirm real-world identity, so those inputs are published for review rather than asserted silently.

New to this? Explain it simply

Some rules are enforced by code on Solana and nobody can change them. A few things, like checking X accounts, have to be done by Rally’s server, so those are published for anyone to check.

17

Limits of the model

The Rally monster gives an honest shrug

No design removes every risk. Specifically:

  • Clustering can miss wallets that use separate identities and funding, or group unrelated ones. Appeals reduce mistakes but don’t remove them.
  • Square-root weighting rewards splitting that isn’t detected.
  • The 25 SOL ceiling doesn’t prove one person per entity.
  • Vesting delays selling but doesn’t stop it after 48 hours.
  • None of this guarantees a price. Tokens can lose value.

FAQ

Does contributing early help?

No. Allocations are calculated after the window closes, and oversubscription is scaled back proportionally.

Can I use several wallets to get more?

Linked wallets are grouped into one entity and share its limits. Grouping is published and open to appeal.

Does Rally or its team get tokens?

No. The 1B supply is presale, social rewards and liquidity only. Rally earns SOL trading fees after launch.

What if the launch doesn't happen?

If the minimum isn't reached, the naming bid is missed or the launch isn't scheduled in time, the launch cancels and every contributor is refunded.

Can the liquidity be removed?

No. It is permanently locked when the pool is created, including after migration.

Do I need an X account?

Only if your entity contributes 5 SOL or more, or to earn social rewards.
